College 101 - Part 2

The "College 101" presentation (Part 2) will cover the FASFA process for parents of junior and senior students.  Shanna Meyer, from Jefferson College, will show parents how to navigate through the process and how to fully use FASFA for your benefit. FASFA is a financial aid form required for any student who is seeking loans and or grants for any post high school institution.  **ALL A+ students are required to fill out the form.

CHADS Coalition
The goal of this presentation is to help parents understand the difference between "normal” teenage behavior and depression.  CHADS will help the parents recognize and respond to the signs and symptoms of bullying, depression, self-harm, and suicide.

The Seckman High Library Media Center is pleased to offer assistance to students with research and book recommendations, as well as wi-fi and device connectivity issues.

The media center is open from 7 AM until 2:30 PM. Students are welcome to visit the library before school, during AIM, lunch, and with a pass from their teacher.

3rd period is Freshman/Sophomore assembly
4th period is Junior/Senior assembly
Parade starts at 1:00.  
Game is at 7:00. The queen is crowned at 1/2 time.

Saturday, Oct. 1st Dance is 8pm - 11pm. Tickets are $10 in advance. They must be purchased at lunch. Tickets are $15 at the door. If a student loses their ticket, they must buy a new one.
Students are expected to use decorum at the dance.  Dance decorum can be found here.

Learn about the opportunities for your child after high school graduation at our 1st Annual Transition Agency Panel for ParentsThis event is designed for parents to meet directly with representatives from local agencies and post-secondary schools to gather information about the many services they provide. This panel can provide you and your child with relevant information you will need to help your child make a smooth transition from school, to post-secondary education, and/or to work, and/or in the home.

The panel will take place on OCTOBER 27 during parent/teacher conferences.

Session 1-Fox High School @ 2:00-3:00 in the Staff Cafeteria  

Session 2- Seckman High School @ 4:00-5:00 Cafeteria

(Pizza, refreshments, and snacks will be provided.)
