Jefferson County Sheriff Department - Social Media/Online Safety

An official from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department will provide you with information to help you keep your student safe from the possible pitfalls of social media, texting, and the internet.  They will also answer any questions and give you a plan if you feel that your student has been harassed, bullied, or violated within the realm of technological communications.

The Seckman High Library Media Center is pleased to offer assistance to students with research and book recommendations, as well as wi-fi and device connectivity issues.

The media center is open from 7 AM until 2:30 PM. Students are welcome to visit the library before school, during AIM, lunch, and with a pass from their teacher.

Congratulations to the following students for being selected to the
2017 Missouri All-State Choir.  

Kacey Waldrop - Soprano
Erin Samples - Alto
Tabitha Husgen - Alto alternate 2nd year.

Erin Samples also score the highest in our region on sightreading which means she will compete at the convention with others for the state sightreading title.  This is the second time in Seckman history that this has happened.

For Seckman, this is the 10th consecutive year for students to be selected
to All-State honors.   

Shelby Blumenthal (12)- Flute, 8th Chair, Piccolo, Hon. Mention
Milana Gurt (10)- Flute, Alternate
Kendal Blumenthal (10)- Alto Saxophone, 4th Chair - 2nd year selection
Nathan Lee (11)- Trumpet, 2nd Chair Band (also made jazz band, chose concert band)- 3rd year selection
Allen Reed (11)- Trumpet, Alternate


As part of the Cole’s Hope Foundation mission of helping and providing resources and assistance to students, Cole’s Hope Foundation is sponsoring four Technology Grants for 2016/2017. Each Technology Grant is based on financial needs as the purpose is to provide students with basic technology resources for school who may not otherwise have the means to attain them. Each Technology Grant includes a new touchscreen computer, backpack, flash drive, food gift card  and school supplies. The application deadline for the grant is Friday, December 9, 2016. Winning grant recipients will be notified on or before Wednesday, December 16, 2016 and grant packages will be delivered on Friday, December 16, 2016. Each application must be signed by a guidance counselor or administrator. For students grades 9-12 in Jefferson County, MO schools.
